I usually don’t write reviews but after seeing a recent post, I feel the need to write this review. As a veterinary professional, I was outraged to read a review stating that the birds at Bird Mania don’t have any enrichment or proper care. The birds are extremely well cared for, are given specific diets based on their needs and receive constant enrichment in the form of toys, attention and foraging opportunities. The owner also takes in rescues that are ill or have feather-picking conditions. She follows medical advice from veterinarians to properly care for these birds and spends her own money doing so. Most of the birds in the store are boarding (meaning the owners are away but drop them off and set up their cages how they want them). As an owner who boards there, I know owners are encouraged to provide any toys or comfort items when they are dropped off. The cages are cleaned twice daily and fresh food and water is given twice daily as well. As for feathers being on the floor…it’s a BIRD STORE. I also understand about not taking pictures. I don’t want pictures of my birds being put up online. It would be irresponsible and illegal for the owners to allow pictures to be taken. Sorry if your sister didn’t like being asked not to take pictures but to completely lie and try to ruin a business is shameful! Show me your veterinary license that gives you the knowledge to know if an animal is not being cared for appropriately…I’ll show you mine!

We have been going there for many years and we never had a bad experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lynn is great at trimming birds that's why we drive almost an hour to go there.

I absolutely love this place. The people are friendly and helpful. They offer a wide variety of food for different types of birds as well as millet and toys toys toys! I got my Indian Ringneck here, and she is lovely. They also offer bird boarding, though I haven't had to use this service yet. She trims nails and wings. You literally can't get better than this store. LOVE.

Ok, I just have to put in my two cents here after reading some of the nasty reviews. Bird Mania was the ONLY store where I bought my birds, along with buying food, etc from this store. I cannot believe what idiots would write a review saying the birds plucked their feathers and are in a bad state. Nothing could be further from the truth. Deb and Tom take in rescue birds from time to time and those are the birds who have plucked their feathers. Has nothing to do with Bird Mania. I have boarded my conure at Bird Mania numerous times and I have never seen feathers all over the store. Hey, it is a bird store and birds do molt during the year! As for the person who made a comment about the owners not letting her family member take a video or photos, I totally agree with Bird Mania. I would not want my bird photographed and then they post the photo on line and say this is their bird or whatever. If you want photos of birds, go to a zoo! Also, Bird Mania is the cleanest bird store I have ever been to. My husband and I now live in Delaware (Deb and Tom we miss you both!), and there is a bird store here that is horrendous! Would never buy anything there. It's filthy and the birds look horrible and miserable. Bird Mania is the best place ever!

I had the best experience at Bird Mania! I asked if there were any birds that needed to be rescued or rehomed. That is how I found Kiwi! Kiwi is a Green Cheek Conure, cinnamon. He is 4 years old. He is the sweetest most lovable boy! I can't say enough about the staff! They were very helpful and informative! They didnt try to sell me anything that was not needed. They offer nail and beak trimming. You can call anytime to ask questions, even on off hours and they get back to you! They board birds also. Very clean. Some birds that are boarding have underlying conditions. Do not assume they don't care for the birds, they are helping them! I personally would highly recommend Bird Mania to anyone that wants a beautiful feathered friend as a companion!

U can see they love their birds. Just bought a conure from them and is doing great. Cages r super clean. Highly recommend!

My family and I just moved to PA and I had been saying for years I wanted more birds. I went to Bird Mania just to look and fell in love. The staff are so friendly, caring and full knowledge. In the matter of two weeks I bought 3 birds. Best addition to our family. They’re all so loving and funny. I know I’ll go back in the future 🥹🫶🏽

Came to bird mania as my neighbor found a budgie that we didn’t expect to survive. They cared for the bird for nearly two weeks and let me know if it lived so I could come pick it up. The owner and staff clearly pour their all into these birds and even helped us get a cage, food, and made sure we were knowledgeable before we brought our new family pet home. Because of them, this bird had a fighting chance. Will highly recommend!

5 years ago I came to Bird Mania just "looking" for a larger bird than the budgies I had at the time. My first visit is when I fell in love with this adorable little cockatiel. They not only took great care of raising her while she was maturing in store, but throughout the past 5 years. Their groomer and staff have since felt like family and the periodic visits over the years have continued to show how caring they are to their customers and birds! I recently brought home my newest goffins cockatoo and just seeing how loving she is with me is a sign of how loving she was raised waiting for her new home. I HIGHLY and continue to recommend Bird Mania to anyone looking for their first or 5th bird. Thank you Bird Mania for always being trustworthy and caring.

Came in after losing my former Cockatiel Coqui. Came across a baby pied cockatiel that I later named Tiki. Owners are wonderful and welcoming. They were there to listen and were very welcoming. Highly recommend coming here even if it is a drive. I’ve had him for over a year now and is full of energy happy and healthy. Going to celebrate his hatch date tomorrow with some more toys. ❤️
